Brenna's Ballet Recital

I just want to remind everyone about my recital On April 7th at 7pm. If you want to go let me know ASAP. TIX are $12 a piece. I have been working very hard the last 4 months in preparation for my big performance and would love for you all to come.....The show is called "The Enchanted Toy Shop" and I know you will really enjoy it. Leeper Dossier

We're DTC (Dossier to China)! After many months of paperwork, eight months to be exact, we nervously sent of our dossier on November 18th. Our official log-in date (LID) in China was Dec. 5th. Our agency has informed us that our referral will arrive approximately 7 to 10 mos. after our LID and then we'll travel to China to pick up the baby about two months after we receive our referral.

The Chinese Consulate

This photo was taken back in early November in front of the Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles. After all of the documents for our adoption were gathered and certified by the Secretary of State, they were taken here to be certified in Chinese. This was the last step before our paperwork was sent to our adoption agency and then on to China!

Brenna has braces!!!

Can you believe it? Brenna got braces on her top teeth today! The bottom ones will be added in a few months. She's going to the same Orthodontist that did my teeth, Dr. Abari. Doesn't she look great? She needs to wear these for a couple of years to make room for all of her adult teeth. Then she'll get them off for about a year and then have braces put on again to finish the job. Whew! Lots of work to be done but worth it in the end of course.
